This is my Mom’s favorite recipe. Plus the omegas in the scallops and carbs in the pasta (which increase seratonin) helping to boost mood!  So if you’re feeling the effects of menopause like my mom, or just looking for a little lift in your mood, this dish is for you!

Seafood Linguini

Ingredients: 

  • 5 cups of fresh mussels
  • Shrimp
  • Calamari
  • Scallops
  • Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried chili flakes
  • One 28 oz. can of plum tomatoes
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon  dried oregano
  •  1 cup white wine
  • 1 pound whole wheat or brown rice linguine

Directions: 

Sauté garlic and chilli flakes in olive oil, add tomatoes, oregano and salt and pepper to taste cook for 8- 10 minute. Add mussels and 1 cup of white wine,  continue cooking until mussels are done.

Toss over brown rice linguine.
