The combination of figs, almonds and banana are not only incredibly delish, but are amazing for bone health!  This thick, frothy shake packs in heaps more digestible calcium and magnesium than a cup of milk.  Plus, it tastes like you’re splurging on a rich, indulgent milkshake, but you’re not! It’s totally guilt-free and will leave you completely satisfied!

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ripe banana, frozen
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) dried figs, rehydrated in water (so they become plump), or fresh figs
  • 2 cups (500 mL) almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp (25 mL) raw almond butter

Directions: 

  • Put all ingredients into blender and blend.
