Makes 1½ cups
This is a healthy, quick, easy and super tasty alternative to store bought puddings that are loaded with processed sugar and chemicals. You can use it as a spread on wholegrain bread, as a dip for your favourite fruit, freeze it into popsicle molds to make ‘fudge-pops’ or enjoy it just the way it is with a spoon!
Ingredients:
- 2 really ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla flavour
Optional Ingredients:
- 1 Tbs coconut oil
- 1/8 tsp soy sauce or wheat-free tamari (the saltiness helps to bring out the chocolate flavour and adds additional depth!)
- add ½ tsp coffee extract for a mocha taste or 1tbs hazelnut butter for a ‘nutella’!
Directions:
Cut avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the inside of the avocado into a food processor. Add the maple syrup and cocoa and continue to blend together until it’s all smooth. Refrigerate 30min before serving.

I really admire and appreciate you, your knowledge and enthusiasm and your good health to inspire and be a good example of what you teach. Great job.
Thanks Nadia! 🙂
This looks amazing! Do you have any white chocolate recipes?
I only seem to have skin care recipes using cacao butter (which is what white chocolate is made of!) Unfortunately not any white chocolate recipes…
Fantastic recipe, Peggy! You have excellent holistic suggestions that are consistently valuable. =) I love your show on Veria, too. I recently taped an episode with Nitika Chopra for Ayurveda and I watch your episodes regularly. Thanks for being so authentic and such an excellent resource. Namaste, Julie
Thanks so much, Julie! Glad you love the show… and the recipe!! Thanks for all of your support 🙂
My partner and I love your recipes Peggy, and watch your show regularly in Melbourne, Australia! We are going to make this pudding sometime. My favourite of yours is your Quinoa cookies. Yum!! And extremely healthy to boot! Keep up the good work and keep providing your fans with new, delicious recipes!
