As many of you know, I love my juicer. And mostly because I love my Green Juice. Green Juicing in general has amazing benefits. I like to think of it as an instant blood transfusion. It helps to instantaneously nourish cells, within minutes. All the nutrients from the juice get absorbed into your cells without having to go through the digestive process. This juice recipe is especially beneficial when it comes to adding goodness to your body while clearing out and mobilizing toxins.
This juice is especially beneficial when it comes to reducing inflammation and boosting digestive health. Fennel and pineapple are both amazing digestive aids. Pineapple also contains the enzyme bromelain which is a powerful anti-inflammatory, and when coupled with turmeric, becomes insanely powerful for reducing inflammation, preventing disease, slowing down cognitive decline and improving the digestion of food and assimilation of nutrients. Plus, it tastes SOOO GOOD!!!
Ingredients
1 lemon
2 fennel stalks with fronds
2-inch piece ginger
2 cups pineapple chunks
1/2 cup sunflower sprouts
1 cup coconut water
2 dashes turmeric
1 or 2 pinches cayenne (to taste)
Directions
Squeeze the lemon into 2 glasses. Pass the fennel, ginger, pineapple and sprouts through the juicer and divide between the two glasses filling half way. Finishing filling the rest of the glass with coconut water and a sprinkling of turmeric and cayenne.
